Synopsis:

Harry Potter grows up living in the cupboard under the stairs in his aunt and uncle’s home believing he lost his parents as an infant in a car crash. His world is turned upside down on his eleventh birthday when he receives a letter that he has been accepted to Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!

This book is the first in it’s series taking you on Harry’s adventure that is his first year attending Hogwarts. The year is packed with action and thrills from sneaking through the school’s secret passageways, taking down giant trolls, and working with his new best friends Hermione and Ron to fight the world’s darkest wizard Lord Voldemort.

Please Note:
We suggest this book be read with a parent at the end of second grade, or read independently late third or fourth grade and up. Although your child might be able to decode, or sound out the words correctly at a younger age, we believe they will not comprehend the story completely. This series is a wonderful way to introduce young readers to the absolute magic of a great book if you can have them wait until they are old enough.
